Your movement isn't transferring enough power to drive the pendulum. With out the pendulum, it has small resistance and will run on its’ own. It's likely your clock is out of beat. The movement not being level may be a cause. Your movement may require serviced to run smoothly again. Your pendulum may need a vertical adjustment (assuming your pendulum has this feature).
